Nigeria: Jigawa Govt Signs MOU With ITF On Youth Development

The Jigawa state government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Industrial Training Fund ITF on youth training and development in the state.

Speaking at the occasion at Government House Dutse, the state Governor, Malam Umar Namadi raised alarm over increase number of jobless amongst the youths, hence the need for government and stakeholders’ prompt attention in addressing the situation.

” Government and stakeholders at all levels should join hands in addressing youth unemployment through skills training and empowerment”

He said the number of teaming youth in the country without work to do, is a source of concern to any responsible leader or person in the country.

Governor Namadi noted that, the security challenges, disturbances and other social vices are product of poverty and unemployment.

He maintained that with emphasis on skill training and empowerment, the narration can be changed to good.
