The Jigawa State Police Command has advised residents of Dutse and environs to be extra careful of resurfaced kidnappings and man slaughter in parts of the State.
The Command’s Spokesman, DSP Lawal Shiisu Adam gave the advice while speaking to newsmen on the abduction of the father of Hon. Sale Baba Buji representing Buji Constituency in the State House of Assembly.
According to him, the Kidnappers have invaded Gantsa town, the Buji local government headquarters in Jigawa state to abduct the father .
The incident occured Tuesday night and
at the time of filing this report, the kidnappers were yet to contact any member of the family.
The PPRO however assured that the police were on top of the situation.
Similar abduction has also been reported at Kudai village, an outskirt of Dutse where some unidentified people called a bricklayer with a promise to offer him building constract in Dutse.
On getting to them at a road side, they grabbed and strangled the unsuspected victim to death, after scaring passersby.
Police spokesman, DSP Lawal Shiisu who confirmed the incident said investigations were ongoing to unravel the perpetrators of the heinous crime
Also, a 5yr old boy, Salmanu was reportedly found in a pool of blood at a nearby village in Kazaure LGA Tuesday night following an attempt to slaughter him by Unknown person or persons.
The victim returned home after outing with deep cut on the neck after which he was rushed to a hospital but died later due to loss of blood
