Nigeria: Police Community Relations Committee Appoints Kanwan Katsina Patron

The Katsina State Police Community Relations Committee PCRC has appointed the Kanwan Katsina District Head of Ketare Alhaji Usman Bello Kankara as Patron.

This is contained in a statement jointly signed by the chairman of the Committee, Umar Shehu Daura and the Secretary, Dr Gali Darma.

The statement said the appointment of the Kanwan Katsina followed his track records and experience as a law enforcement officer having worked with the Nigeria Customs Service for thirty five years and retired as Comptroller.

The committee expressed hoped that the Monarch will use his wealth of experience and knowledge to improve on Police Community relations to secure lives and properties of people of the state.
Accepting the letter of appointment presented to him in his palace, the Kanwan Katsina Alhaji Usman Bello Kankara expressed gratitude and appreciation to the committee for finding him worthy of the appointment and assured of using his wealth of experience to improve on police community relations.
The Kanwan Katsina having served diligently at various commands, formations and Units of the Nigeria Customs Service during his service years, has worked very closely with the Nigeria police and now on his capacity as district head of Ketare. He is also working again with the police to improve the security of lives and properties of people in his domain.
The Police Community Relations Committee exists in every state and Local Government Area and is saddled with the responsibilities of liaison between the police and community in the areas of information gathering and improving police community relations to improve security of lives and properties.
