FHANI Reaches Out To Lafiya Project On Environment

Date:

In her avowed determination to widen its scope, the Family Health Advocates in Nigeria Initiative, FHANI, has reached out to a UK aided program, Lafiya Project towards ensuring a healthy and enabling environment for project implementation.

The move is in line with FHANI’s conviction that a healthy environment means a healthy human, hence the buy-in.

At the head of FHANI’s visiting team to the Lafiya Project Kaduna State Team Lead, was its Vice Chairman, Dr. Suleyman Tanko along with the Secretary and Communication Officer, Mr. Benjamin Maigari and Hajiya Hauwa Saulawa respectively as well as Mrs Dorcas Adeyemi, a member.
Receiving the team, Lafiya Project State Team  Lead, Muazu Habibu described the buy-in as a welcome development and expressed the readiness of the organization to work with FHANI and others towards improving the lives of the citizens.

Both FHANI and Lafiya Project agreed that health and environment are inseparable hence the need for them to work together.

FHANI’s team reminded their host of its vision, which is to have a healthy society where the populace have universal access to quality public health.

This, they said, tallies with the objective of the Lafiya Project which is to contribute to improving health outcomes for the poor and most vulnerable in the country through encouraging the government to increase resources invested in health, improving effectiveness and efficiency of public health services.
