Fuel Subsidy Removal: NASSI Commends Jigawa For Provision Of Palliatives

The Jigawa State Chapter of the National Association of Small Scale Industrialists ( NASSI) has lauded the efforts of the Jigawa state government over distribution of Palliatives to cushion the effects of fuel subsidy removal.

A statement issued by the Association’s Secretary, Comrade Danlami Haladu states “Certainly NASSI deems it necessary to commend both the federal and state government efforts on the supply of five trucks of rice and also the giant stride of Governor Malam Umar Namadi to provide additional five trucks of rice at a cost of One Hundred and Thirty-Four Million Six Hundred and Sixty-Five Thousand Naira (N134,665,000.00) of the same quantum just to cover more beneficiaries statewide, by jigawa state government”.

The association also commended the efforts of the state government for approving another empowerment programme for1,500 Young Entrepreneurs running existing businesses across jigawa state.

“With these laudable initiatives, we run short of words in commending the jigawa state government for the approval of the support of 1,000 small and medium Enterprises for those who met World Bank criteria for being registered SME’S Account and Bank Verification number ( BVN) and no of employees.

“NASSI seized the opportunity in advising the state government in ensuring this palliative distribution is being done judiciously to the down trodden and for the betterment of all and sundry in all the 27 council’s across jigawa state in meeting their respective communities.

NASSI is supporting government policies in creating job opportunities to youths and women, build the capacity of local manufacturers, towards increase productivity, and supporting local small scale entrepreneurs in getting access to capital and soft loan advances in marketing their products.
