Nigeria Police Presents N43m Cheques to Families of Police officers who died On Active Service

The Jigawa State Police Commissioner, CP Emmanuel Effiom Ekot has presented cheques worth forty-three point One million Naira on behalf of IGP to fifty-one (51) families of Police Officers who lost their lives while on duty.

This was contained in a statement issued to newsmen by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Lawan Shiisu Adam in Dutse, the jigawa state capital.

The statement said the beneficiaries, who were presented with cheques, are the Next of Kin to the deceased Police Officers.

The statement added “this presentation of the cheques was part of the Group Life Assurance Benefits, Group Personal Accident, and IGP Family Welfare Insurance Schemes being given to the families of deceased Police Officers who.lost lives while on active service”

The program took place at the Officers Mess, State Headquarters, Dutse,

The Commissioner of Police, while presenting the cheques, appreciated the efforts of the Inspector General of Police, for improving the welfare of the Officers and Men of the Nigeria Police Force and urged the beneficiaries to use the monies judiciously to comfort their livings in future.
