The continued friendly disposition of the relevant Ministries, Departments and Agencies, MDAs of the Kaduna State Government, Northwest Nigeria, to the Family Health Advocates in Nigeria Initiative, FHANI can not be overemphasized.
The closeness is as a result of the tremendous impact of FHANI activities in the State on Family health, especially Child Birth Spacing, girl child education, school e- learning and the creation of additional budget line among others.
Chairman of the advocacy working group, Alhaji Bala Mohammad Tijjani, Bunnun Zazzau enumerated this at the NGO’s quarterly review meeting, Thursday, in Kaduna.
FHANI activities, the Chairman said, have continued to be applauded by funding partners including Pathfinder International, Rise Up, UNPFA, Social Protection, BUDGIT and West African Civil Society Institute, WACSI, which builds capacities of civil societies across the sub- region.
Alhaji Bala said it was gratifying to note that the success story of the NGO was not only being acknowledged but sought to be understudied by other advocacy working groups within and outside the State.
On the school e- learning advocacy project, the Chairman pledged that FHANI would collaborate with the Kaduna State Ministry of Education towards domesticating the National Policy taking into cognizant ” our own environment”.
The 2nd quarterly meeting which received feedbacks from members on activities attended within the period under review, also discussed extensively on next quarter’s activities.
