The incoming administration in Kano state has asked members of the public especially its supporters to be law-abiding, especially during the handing-over ceremony, as it is expecting dignitaries from at least 20 countries and all the states of the federation.
Chairman of the Gubernatorial Transition Committee, Abdullahi Baffa Bichi, made the call at a pre-inauguration briefing in Kano on Sunday.
“We have guests from at least 20 countries who are on the ground and are eagerly waiting for that time, please show them that we are good people and law-abiding. Be obedient to authority and security control as everyone has a designated place to sit down,” he said.
Baffa, who expressed optimism about a successful event tasked their supporters to be patient, as an overwhelming crowd of almost a million or more is expected which is beyond the stadium’s capacity, noted that arrangements have been put in place for a live telecast on both radio and television to keep them updated.
He pointed out that all was set for a successful transition to the new administration headed by Abba Yusuf Kabiru and his Deputy, Aminu Abdulsalam Gwarzo.
