Nigeria: Be Inclined To Anti-rabies vaccination – Expert Advises Farmers, Hunters In Jigawa

Director of Veterinary Services in the Jigawa state Ministry of Agriculture, and Natural Resources, Dr. Abdullahi Haruna Birniwa has advised hunters, farmers, herdsmen and individual dog keepers to make sure that their dogs receive anti-rabies vaccination.

The Director, who gave the advice while inspecting some vaccination centers in Dutse and Hadejia local government areas, said the vaccination exercise is being conducted at veterinary clinics in all the 27 local government areas of the state.

The Director disclosed that the vaccination is being conducted jointly by the Jigawa state Ministry of Agriculture and Natural resources and the federal ministry of agriculture.

He called on the farmers and herdsmen throughout jigawa state to imbibe the spirit of animal vaccination for proper health care of their animals.

Dr. Haruna Abdullahi explained that the exercise will last for two weeks.
