Nigeria: Jigawa Injects N82.6m To Support Students’ Performance In Examination – Dr. Abbas

Jigawa state government expended over Eighty Two point Six Million Naira, ( N82.6m), in the coaching of the SS 3 final year students in Mathematics and English languages from 2019 to 2023.

The Executive Secretary, State Agency for Mass Education, Dr Abbas Abubakar Abbas made this known while briefing facilitators, Coordinators and Monitoring team of the extra coaching of the SS 3 Final year students in Mathematics and English Language in Dutse.

He said 157,798 final year students benefitted from the program in the state.

Dr Abbas said the program introduced in 2019, has greatly improved the student’s performance, especially in English and Mathematics .

The Executive Secretary said the essence of the meeting was to inform, guide, assist and remind the stakeholders in the extra coaching on the confidence reposed in them to do what is expected of them, for the success of the excersice.

He said the briefing was also aimed at grooming the facilitators on strategies and modern techniques towards achieving better performance, especially in English and Mathematics at final year examination.

The Secretary commended Governor Badaru Abubakar for his concern towards the reactivation and revitalization of the State’s educational sector.
