Kano APC Guber Candidate Promises Local Government Autonomy, If Elected

Deputy Governor of Kano State and All Progressives Congress (APC) Gubernatorial Candidate, Dr.Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna has pledged to give autonomy to Local governments in the State if elected as Governor.

Gawauna stated this while featuring on the Nigeria Television Authority’s (NTA) Network Programme “The Ballot”.

According to him, “Local Governments are integral part of the government and is the tier close to the people that facilitates even development and distribution of resources and services”.

“As a former local government chairman, I know what its administration is all about. I was given free hand to operate. That made us to achieve alot of successes, therefore if elected as Governor I would reciprocate that,” he explained.

Chief Press Secretary to the Deputy Governor, Hassan Musa Fagge, in a statement, further quotes the Deputy Governor as saying that he is the most qualified and prepared to be the next Governor of Kano State having worked with the previous administrations and have garnered alot of experience.

While giving assurance of consolidating on their achievements, he urged the electorates to avoid violence and be orderly during the next election.
