The United Kingdom Prime Minister, Rishi Sunak, has congratulated Nigeria’s President-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for winning Nigeria’s 2023 Presidential elections.
Sunak made the announcement in a tweet on Wednesday night, saying he looks forward to working with Tinubu and establish a stronger bilateral relationship.
The tweet reads; “Congratulations to @officialABAT on his victory in Nigeria,” Mr Sunak said.
“I look forward to working together to grow our security and trade ties, opening up opportunities for businesses and creating prosperity in both our countries,” he added.
Wednesday, Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared Tinubu as winner of presidential election.
