The Kaduna State gubernatorial candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Rt Hon. Isa Mohammed Ashiru has congratulated the People of Kaduna State on the peaceful conduct of the February 25th Presidential and National Assembly elections.
Ashiru further congratulates voters on turning out to vote, despite the scarcity of cash, fuel, and other challenges associated with the voting processes, adding that their patriotic sacrifices shows both the quest of people to have more qualified and genuine leaders leading them in 2023, and their faith in the democratic process.
In congratulating the winners of the just concluded elections, Ashiru tasks them to be magnanimous in victory by accepting all as theirs now. He further identified with those who lost, saying that losing an election affords one the experience to try again.
While further analyzing the outcome of the elections, Ashiru noted that: “With the Presidential and National Assembly elections concluded, the path has now become clearer for a unified approach toward the gubernatorial elections coming up in two weeks’ time. Now is the time for us all in Kaduna State to bury all differences, close ranks, and work together for the success of the PDP and for the benefit of the people of Kaduna State.
“The eight years of the APC has brought so much hardship and bloodletting to Kaduna State. It is now incumbent upon us all, no matter our differences, to come together and put an end to a government that is replete with a total lack of empathy, insensitive, and the most misplaced elitist approach to governance that Kaduna has seen. So, I call on all people of Kaduna State to again, reject the APC in the coming gubernatorial and State Assembly elections. Let us not allow inpunity to continue.”
A statement signed by Reuben Buhari,
Deputy Director, Media and Publicity, PDP State Campaign Directorate, the Gubernatorial Hopeful, also called on the leadership of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to critically analyze and note all areas requiring improvement in the just concluded elections, so as to effect improvements in the coming elections.
