Nigeria: I’ll Prosper Gombe, North East With Kolmani Oil, If Elected President – Tinubu

Date:

A leading candidate in the 2023 general elections in Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the All Progressive Congress (APC), says he will make Gombe one of the richest states in the country if elected president.

Tinubu made the promise while addressing APC supporters in Gombe, while on campaigning for votes, adding that he will ensure that exploration of the newly discovered Kolmani oil field in Gombe translates into meaningful development in the state in particular and the country at large.

“If I am voted into office as President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and Kashim Shettima as my running mate, you will know prosperity. I will make sure the exploration of the new Kolmani oil brings prosperity and development to Gombe State and make it one of the richest states in Nigeria,” he said.

Tinubu also urged the people to vote Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya for a second term in office.

He said the country should not be allowed to fall into the hands of those who will destroy it again, adding that he can only build and consolidate on the achievements already recorded by the current administration of the APC.

The National Chairman of the party, Senator Abdullahi Adamu also urged the youths and the people of Gombe to ensure that the APC candidates at all levels are voted into office in Gombe.

He said the large turnout recorded at the rally showed clearly that Gombe belongs to APC.
