Nigeria: Northern Governor Stashed N22bn In His Home, Galadima Reveals

The former National Secretary of the defunct Congress for Progressive Change, CPC, Buba Galadima has disclosed that a serving governor has N22 billion old naira notes stashed in his home.

The New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP, chieftain revealed this during an interview on Trust TV’s Daily Politics, however, he refused to disclose the name of the governor.

Galadima said, “I agree. I know, from intelligence, that there is a governor in the Northwestern part that has about N22 billion of the old currency.

“Yes, N22 billion stacked in his house as I speak to you. He knows himself. And the security agencies know.”

He further revealed that one of the reasons security agencies haven’t arrested him yet Is because “maybe they belong to the same club or they are protecting him”.
