Hoodlums suspected to be robbers in the early hours of Thursday morning, reportedly broken into the Kaduna residence of a popular journalist and publisher of TG News, Mr. Tom Garba.
It was gathered that the incident was discovered by the gateman, who traveled three days ago, but returned to discover the house was broken into.
When contacted on phone, Mr. Garba confirmed the incident, explaining that they gained access to his residence by jumping the fence from an uncompleted property.
He added that they entered the building by burrowing holes through the Plaster of Paris (POP) ceiling.
He said although he is presently at his home town, he received the disturbing message from his gateman.
According to him, he was told that the invaders made away with several valuables from his residence.
“They made a clean sweep with everything they could remove, including curtains and mattresses,” he informed.
When asked if he has reported the matter officially to the police, he said he would do so when he comes back to Kaduna.
The TG News Publisher said that what is most worrisome, is a threat letter left behind by the hoodlums.
“The unknown hoodlums left a shocking note, ‘Thank Your God you are not at home,’ which sounds like a threat,” he said.
