The Kano state Ministry of Environment says all preparations have been concluded for the smooth take off of November general sanitation exercise on Saturday the 26th, November 2022 from 7am to 10am within Kano state.
A statement issued by the Director Public Enlightenment of the Ministry of environment, Ismail Garba Gwammaja urged kano residents to be law abiding citizens to ensure total compliance of the directive to stay at home during the period and ensure to clean up their immediate environment during the stipulated time given.
The statement quoted the commissioner for environment Dr Kabiru Ibrahim Getso, as saying that mobile court, security personnel and state taskforce committee is being deployed to go round all the knocks and crannies to ensure total compliance and deal with defaulters where necessary.
The Commissioner however, urged parents and guardian’s to warn their wards to desist from playing football or moving around during the period of this sanitation exercise. He said no body will be spared if found wanting without any tangible reasons,
The statement further explained that only people with exceptional duties or illnesses would be entertained.
Dr Getso however pointed out that the sanitation exercise for government MDAs, Companies, Market’s places and motor parks is scheduled to commence this Friday 25th November, 2022 and therefore appealed to the general public to note this development for the welbeing of the general public.
