The former District Head of Kufana, Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State, Chief Titus Dauda has been elevated to a 3rd class, and with a new title of Agom kufana 1.
The historical event held Thursday, took place at the temporary palace of the Chiefdom with hundreds of people from within and outside in attendance.
The Director Chieftaincy Affairs at the State Ministry of Local Government, Sani Galadima who represented the State Governor, described the occasion as a new dawn which signals development and growth in
the chiefdom.
He enjoined all and sundry to support the elevated traditional ruler and pray for his success on the throne.
The Executive Chairman of Kajuru LGA, Mr Ibrahim Gajere appreciated the Governor and urged people of the Chiefdom to rally round and support the Agom .
In his acceptance speech, the Agom Kufana 1, Chief Titus Dauda who appreciated God almighty and the government of Kaduna State for the honour, pledged his loyalty and that of his people to the State Government.
The Agom said he will also respect the rule of law and work towards the continued unity of the people as well as the growth and development of his domain
The occasion was witnessed by among others, the Agom Kachia Mr Zamani Dogonyaro, Hon Matthew Augustine who represented the House of Representatives Member Chikun/Kajuru, the Secretary Kajuru LGA, the Speaker Kajuru LGA legislative council, former Commissioner of Health, Everton Peter Yari, village and Ward heads.
