Nigeria: E4A Supports KADMAM In The Development Of Scorecards

Evidence for Action (E4A) also known as E4A-MamaYe, has commenced the process of supporting the Kaduna Maternal Accountability Mechanism (KADMAM), Northwest Nigeria on the development of scorecards and smart advocacy asks.

Speaking at a two-day meeting Wednesday in Kaduna, the Kaduna State E4A Advisor Elkana Aliyu said their objective is to introduce the machine to the global public goods and its uses that include Health Budget Advocacy (HBA) toolbox, Advocacy handbook, coalition building Global Public Groups (GPG) among others.

He said the objective of the meeting is also to build the capacity of KADMAM on the development of scorecards Basic Healthcare Provision Fund (BHCPF), Budget, Maternal, Neonatal and Child Health (MNCH), and Family Planning (FP).

“The objectives also include Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-Bound (SMART) gender-responsive advocacy ‘asks’ using the KADMAM existing scorecards as well as to support peer-peer learning across SLAMs and to agree on next steps,” he stated.

In his remarks, Co-Chair of KADMAM Alh Mustapha Jumare, represented by the Secretary while appreciating E4A for the support, assured that the mechanism will do its best to put all the capacity-building training into good use and also step down the training to other members and other coalitions in the state.
