National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), said it will commence early planning ahead of the 2023 Islamic pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia.
This was contained in a statement by Public Affairs Officer of NAHCON, Fatima Sanda Usara, who explained that the Commission would follow through all contractual agreement for smooth operation of the 2023 exercise.
The Commission explained that the last flight is coming six days ahead of deadline of Hajj airlift as set by the Saudi authorities.N
“Nigeria’s last flight for 2022 Hajj; an Azman Air with 319 pilgrims from Kaduna and Kano and officials from the various states and NAHCON departed King Abdul Aziz International Airport Jeddah on Sunday 7th August 2023 at about 12: 00 pm,”
The Commission however admitted that there were challenges during the outbound trip from Nigeria to Saudi Arabia in 2022, resulting from time constraint amongst other notable challenges.
