Dear readers, I write this story with uncomfirmed rage in my chest considering what one criminal baboon did to me last month. ?
On my last visit to Yankari after all the fun and life, we were about to go out of the Reserve, our driver decided to ease himself in the nearby bush. I slimzy, then said to myself that let me use the opportunity to snap more swaggalistic pictures for memories.
My friend warned me to hold my bag while snapping so that baboons would not snatch it. I did but as the snapping entered another realm I just dropped the bag on the car and focus on my fine girl styles.
As I was wriggling my waist and getting the shot hot hot, Boom! One huge baboon appeared from no where, whisked the bag and raced with it in a split. My brain calculated all the things in the bag and my heroine spirit instantly activated.
I ran after this ? with the whole of my mind to concur and fight it as per strong girl that I am, I even forgot that I am a beauty that needed to be maintained. Do you know what? This baboon now turned with enough rage, kept the bag aside and hopped on me. My friend ran to pick the bag he turned on her too. She ran for her dear life.
My people, my fine girl wig, shoes and earrings all fell off in the process. See people, see our big girl sontin in the mud, but this baboon didn’t care.
It didn’t end it there, he picked the bag again and headed to the bush. We were weak and let him have his way.
Some guys seeing all that happened raced after him and got him to stop. (I heard that baboons fear men more than women though not sure).
He later stopped on the main road and made sure he brought out all the items in the bag one by one. My purse, bra, panties and all the women stuffs in the bag was spread like kwanjo (thrift) for all to see.
My people, I shame oo! I shamed. That was how the guys parked all those things and mushed them back in the bag then brought them to us. Me I didn’t even attempt to go collect the bag because of shame. It was my friend that went. Kai! I have never seen this kind of thing before.
Small snapping, small big girl, small shakara that I said let me do, that was how that baboon dragged me to the mud.
To be honest, I was scared, shamed and brutalised, my whole body shattered that day.
Below is the picture that I snapped with the bag before the drama with oga baboon. ☹☹
