Direct Labour: Liberia Plans To Recruit Engineers On Road Construction

Public Works Minister, Ruth Coker-Collins has announced plans by the government to launch a major recruitment process for at least twenty-five Liberian engineers.

The engineers will be recruited with other workers at the ministry to fast-tracking road projects across Liberia under the Pro -poor Agenda of the Weah led Administration.

Madam Coker-Collins in an interview on State radio ELBC on Monday, added that the move will save government from millions of dollars used on contractors for road maintenance.

She further disclosed that the ministry has received nine pieces of earth moving equipment to carryout road maintenance across the country and maintained that the recruitment of engineers and procurement of equipment will go a long way in improving public infrastructures across the Liberia.
