Former South African President Thabo Mbeki In Zambia, Meets Hichilema

One of the great African statesmen and Former South African President, Thabo Mbeki is in Zambia

Mbeki who on arrival in Lusaka paid a courtesy visit to President Hakainde Hichilema is in the country to deliver the inaugural lecture for former Late President Dr Kenneth Kaunda.

According to President Hichilema, “We were honoured to receive one of the great African statesmen, Former South African President Thabo Mbeki, this afternoon (Tuesday) at State House.

“President Mbeki is in the country to deliver the inaugural lecture for our former President the late Dr. Kenneth Kaunda and paid us a courtesy call ahead of his speech.

“We have a lot to learn from our elderly statesmen who have so much wisdom and knowledge around the development of our continent. His famous speech, “I am an African” is still admired by students from the UCT to Evelyn Hone.

‘We wished him well during his stay in Zambia” he concludes.
