Zambia Lauds World Bank Resolving Its Debt Crises

President Hakainde Hichilema of Zambia has commended the World Bank in the key role being played to improving the county’s economy

The president was speaking when he received the Bank’s Managing Director, Ms Anshula Kant who paid him a courtesy visit in Lusaka.

“This afternoon, we held talks with the World Bank Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer Ms. Anshula Kant and her delegation at State House.

“We thanked the World Bank, through her, for the key role they have continued playing in the development of our country.

“We are particularly pleased with the supportive role they are playing in resolving our debt crisis so that we can continue to focus our efforts on improving our economy and creating jobs for our people.’
