The Campaign Organisation of the PDP Gubernatorial Candidate for Kaduna State, Northwest Nigeria, Hon Isa Ashiru, has said that the silence of the gubernatorial candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC), Sen. Uba Sani over the mass sack of teachers in the state is an endorsement of the inhumane policy.
The campaign organisation, in a statement on Tuesday frowned at the silence of Uba Sani, saying that his position must be made known to the public on the mass sack being the gubernatorial candidate of the ruling APC in Kaduna state.
In the statement signed by the Director Public Affairs Isa Ashiru Campaign organization, Yakubu Lere El-Saed, explained that over 2000 teachers were sacked recently in the State.
Lere alleges that the State is also planning to carry out demolition exercise at Gwari Market in Rigasa and Saminaka Market in Lere Local Government Area.
According to Lere, “Senator Uba Sani’s silence over this irrational decision has sent an open signal that, he will indeed continue with the current policies of Gov El rufa’i .
“May be that is why his slogan is continuity and consolidation of Gov El rufa’i’s inhumane policies.
“It is disheartening to note that, this singular act has completely destroyed primary education in the state. Available statistics have shown that the rating of Kaduna State in terms of First School Leaving Certificate has never been as bad as the tenure of Gov Nasiru El-rufa’i one may keep wondering what he actually wants to achieve?
“We therefore wish to sympathise with the victims of this exercise and indeed the good people of Kaduna state in particular and NUT in general over the murder of education in the state and assured them, if elected gov, Hon Isa Ashiru Kudan will reverse this policy and resoucitate education in the state.
“We wish to call on them to take heart and leave everything to God but go out and register if they really want to get rid of this and indeed other bad policies of APC government in the State,” the Director Public Affairs Isa Ashiru Campaign organization emphasized.
