The Kanwan Katsina District Head of Ketare, Northwest Nigeria, Alhaji Usman Bello Kankara has commended a nongovernmental organization Voice of the Masses (Murayar Talaka) for organizing its 11th Annual National Conference in Katsina.
Alhaji Usman Bello Kankara was speaking as the Royal Father of the occasion which was held at the conference hall of Local Government Service Commission, in the State capital.
The Theme of this year’s conference was “2023 General Election; how to ensure the future and survival of democracy in Nigeria beyond 2023”.
The Traditional Ruler called on the NGO to intensify efforts in public enlightenment through radio and other media outfits for the successful conduct of the 2023 general elections.
He called on people to shun all forms of election malpractices and violence in the forthcoming general elections in the country.
Alhaji Usman Bello Kankara also urges people to ensure that they register and obtain their voters card which is their power to vote.
The Kanwan Katsina assured that the District Head’s office is working closely with Kankara local government chapter of voice of the masses (Murayar Talaka) in improving the welfare of the people.
“My door always remain open for support and advice at all times”, he reassured.
During the conference, the Kanwan Katsina District Head of Ketare Alhaji Usman Bello Kankara was presented with an award of merit for his role and commitment to working tirelessly for the wellbeing of the common man.
The occasion was graced by the Katsina State Governor, Alhaji Aminu Bello Masari who was represented by the Head of the Civil Service of the State, Alhaji Idris Tune, the National President of the Association and State Chapters and members of the academia.
Paper presentation was by Professor Usman Muhammed of Baze University Abuja, while Dr. Alkasim of Ahmadu Bello University Zaria and other members of the academia were discussants.
