Liberia Council of Churches has defended the election of its President-Rev. Samuel Reeves saying criticisms of him being a politician will in no way undermine his inauguration.
It could be recalled that members of the Liberia Council of Churches went to election, to elect Rev. Dr. Samuel Reeves as President of the Council during its recent election which has brought in controversies within the organization as per his deep involvement into national politics.
But the Liberia Council of Churches says the election of Rev. Dr. Samuel Reeves as President of the Council was not a mistake.
In an interview with OK FM Thursday, monitored by AFRICA PRIME NEWS, LCC Secretary General Christopher Toe noted that the council of churches will not nullify the elections of Rev. Dr. Reeves despite condemnations by other religious prelates across the country.
According to him, Rev Reeves served in previous capacity as Vice President under the leadership of former president, Bishop Kortu Brown.
