Polio Immunization: Kaduna Commences Another Round, Appeals To Parents To Present Children

Parents and Caregivers have been ?advised to make their children available for vaccination as Kaduna State commences another Round of polio Immunization campaign .

The exercise is scheduled for 14 to 17 May 2022 and would be conducted on the streets, house to house, markets, motor parks among others.

The State Coordinator, Journalists initiative on immunization Against Polio (JAP), Lawal A.Dogara disclosed this in a statement made available to AFRICA PRIME NEWS.

It said all adequate arrangements have been made by the State government, Development partners and other stakeholders for the smooth conduct of the exercise.

The statement commended traditional and religious leaders for their efforts and urged them not to relent in that direction.

The Statement also advised eligible persons in the State to visit health facilities for COVID-19 vaccination.

It commended the World Health Organization, WHO for partnering with JAP with a view to educating parents and the general public , the importance of immunization to eradicate polio and other child killer diseases

The Statement also appealed to adhoc staff engaged in the polio immunization exercise to be committed to the exercise.
