President Hakainde Hichilema of Zambia has said that other than excelling in the physical wellbeing, sport helps both the young and the old build teamwork, respect, self – belief, passion and determination as well as a source of employment.
President Hichilema was speaking at Nkoloma Stadium where he joined thousands of football enthusiasts to show solidarity in the ABSA finals played between some of Zambia’s finest Premier teams
“These are the same values that builds a nation and that’s why this afternoon at Nkoloma Stadium, we joined thousands of football enthusiasts to show solidarity in the ABSA finals played between some of Zambia’s finest Premier teams; Red Arrows and Napsa Stars Football Teams.
“What we witnessed was a thrilling combination of flair and resolve in both teams, and we have no doubt that with a little more determination and organisation, Zambian football is headed to the very top.
“We therefore implore the Football Association of Zambia to go out and search for talent in the uttermost parts of our country so that we build up on the pool of excellence in the game of football.
“We congratulate Napsa Stars Football Club for winning the Absa Cup and urge Red Arrows not to lose hope and continue the pursuit of excellence and team spirit”.
