A State Banquet was held in honour of the visiting Democratic Republic of Congo President, Mr Félix Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo and his wife, Denise Nyakeru on Sunday in the Zambian Capital Lusaka, by President, Hakainde Hichilema.
Speaking at the Banquet, President Hichilema reaffirmed the commitment of the two countries to
continue building economic bridges that will benefit the 2 great nations and their citizens.
“Our goals are to provide opportunities for businesses that will create meaningful jobs that will enhance the livelihoods of the people of Zambia and the DRC.
‘Fighting poverty is priority number one for us and we shall not rest until this is achieved.
“As a token of appreciation for our brotherly relationship with President Tshisekedi and his beloved wife Madame Denise Nyakeru Tshisekedi, the First Lady and I donated 10 herds of cattle to them”, Hichilema said.
