A Nigerian actress and producer, Mide Martins has described filmmaking as a platform to pass messages across to people, and not just about making money.

Martins was reacting to how an online TV channel uploaded an uncompleted version of her upcoming movie.

“Movie-making is not just about making money, it’s about passing a message across to people. Part two of my movie, ‘Onitemi’ was uploaded and it was an uncompleted version.

“For me, it is a total waste of effort because they said they have to remove some scenes in the movie which is not right. So, the film has been pulled down because I want the full version of the movie to be uploaded,” 42-year-old Martins lamented, while shedding tears.

“I’m not fine and I don’t know how to hide it. I’m sure a lot of people will be wondering what is happening to me.”

Mide Martins is married to a popular movie director, Afeez Abiodun.
