After years appendage of Pisgah Baptist Church at Federal Housing Estate, Gonin- Gora, Kaduna, the Landmark Baptist Church, now Chapel, has assumed an autonomous status having grown from strength to strength.
The ceremony to this effect was held on Sunday at the Chapel’s magnificent auditorium at No.1 Eagle Tower Avenue, Before Command Junction, Kachia Road, Kaduna, where the Certificate and other Authority Documents were presented to the Senior Pastor, Rev. Dr. Joseph Onuche by Rev. Mrs.Grace Fadahunsi of the Mother church.

strive for the advancement of the Chapel in knowledge, holiness and comfort, promote Its prosperity and spiritually, sustain Its worship, ordinances, discipline and doctrines, contribute cheerfully and regularly to the support of the ministry, the expenses of the Chapel, the relief of the poor and spread of the gospel.
The members also promised to be just in their dealings, faithful in their engagement as well as to be zealous in their efforts to advance the kingdom of their saviour.
Rev. Dr Joseph Onuche, the Senior Pastor and Founder of the Chapel told the audience that the church which began 8 years ago with 12 people at his residence has now grown with a large congregation despite some daunting challenges.
The Senior Pastor who was given a brief history of the church titled ” 8 Years of Moving From Strength to Strength”, expressed his belief in God and that very soon the magnificent auditorium being used, would completely become theirs’.
“Today, we are located at No.1 Eagle Tower Avenue, a venue that we believe God will give to us completely very soon and we are looking forward to a future with faith that the same God of the past 8 years will do much more in the coming years for us and with us because He who is our help in ages past is our hope to come”, he concludes.
Ministering, the President, Kaduna Baptist Conference, Rev. Ishaya Adamu Jangado acknowledged the fast growing church which he attributed to the solid preaching and teaching of undiluted words of God.
“Any church that is planted by God would grow”, liken it to the Landmark International Baptist which was initially planted at the Rev. Onuche’s residence.
Rev. Jangado who admired the healthy environment and befitting auditorium, stressed the need for members to imbibe the spirit of financial commitment for continued growth of the church.
“Whatever amount of money that comes to you, remember your tithes and other obligations”.
While making a case for better welfare of pastors, the pastors should also remember their members who are in need, he said.
The occasion which featured Fund Raising was witnessed by members of the Baptist family including the clergy, friends and well wishers from other christian denominations.
With the Sunday ceremony, the Landmark International Baptist Church, now Chapel, has become an organised church of Romi Baptist Association in Kaduna Baptist Conference of the Nigerian Baptist Convention.
