President Hichilema of Zambia has reiterated his Administration’s commitment to protect the rights of every Zambian.

The President stated this to mark this year’s International Human Rights Day, themed “Equality, Reducing Inequalities, Advancing Human Rights”.

“We are building a Zambia that will be equal. To address rural poverty that has remained pervasive for too long, we have increased CDF to close the gap between the rich and the poor. “This will help the vulnerable people through the scholarship program, to ensure equality as we believe education is the best equaliser.

“We also want to assure you that the Zambia under our administration will not deny anyone their right to freedom of expression, association, worship and many other freedoms as guaranteed in our constitution. This is the Zambia we envisioned and the Zambia we want to bequeath to future generations”, he promised.
