Human Tragedy: Former Liberian V-Pee Commiserates With Sierra Leone

Former Liberian Vice President, Joseph N.Boakai has expressed sadness over the fuel tanker explosion in the neighbouring Sierra Leone in which several people were killed and called for prayers.

 

Boakai also extends deepest sympathy via his official Facebook handle to President Julius Maada Bio, the government and people of Sierra Leone for the national calamity.

 

Amb. Boakai who is currently in the USA on series of engagements with Liberians abroad, urged Liberians to offer prayers for their counterpart Sierra Leone, as the nation endures this tragic moment.

 

Reports say several people were burnt to death and others injured Friday, following a 40ft-long fuel tanker explosion in Wellington area, Freetown, Sierra Leone.

 

The tanker exploded at a commercial junction in front of popular Choithram Supermarket, causing fires to break out in the West African city.

 

It was believed that the incident took place around 10PM West African time on Friday as huge bystanders gathered to take fuel from a spillage.

 

 

Africa Prime News Correspondent in the neighboring  Liberia gathered that the Satellite Hospital, located in the capital, was completely overwhelmed by victims .
