National Board for Arabic and Islamic Studies has warned Nigerians to desist from buying fake appointment letters from criminals.
The Registrar of the Board Professor Muhammad Shafiu Abdullahi gave the warning while briefing newsmen in Kaduna.
Professor Muhammad Shafiu Abdullahi lamented that some criminals are presently parading themselves as staff of the board selling appointment letters from one point one million naira to two hundred thousand naira.
He lamented that the criminals forged board’s letterhead, signature and seal and they were applying in the fake appointment letters.
The Registrar explained that some of the criminals were arrested and investigation is on going on the matter.
Professor Muhammad Shafiu Abdullahi appealed to Nigerians to report to the police or the management whenever someone approached them with the issue of buying appointment letters.
He also explained that the board always use the national dailies to announce vacancies if there is any.
Professor Muhammad Shafiu Abdullahi appealed to Nigerians that whatever information of the board they need, they should contact the management directly not just anybody.
