A Nigerian religious group, Hausa Christians Foundation (HACFO) is calling on its partners to support the organisation through prayers and financial support to enable it hold its 4th Annual National Youth Conference in Kaduna, where it expects to host about 500 youths.
“As our Partner of inestimable value, we are requesting you to join us in praying for the provision, protection and success of this timely conference,” a statement by its Founder & Lead Minister, Joshua Danlami Jydson said.
“Ever since we started this conference, the journey has been rough, challenging and threatening, due to insufficient finances. The mercy and grace of God has however been seeing us through,” the statement says.
According to him, the first conference held in 2018 primarily for the Hausa Christians Youths, ended up with over 300 youths from different ethnic groups across 12 states of Northern Nigeria, saying “ever since then, youths from across Northern Nigeria keep attending the conference en mass. The joy is not in the number of people that came from these states and tribes only, but in the testimonies we keep receiving about the impact of the conference in the lives of the participants, which they replicate in their different places.”
Mr. Danlami Jydson explained that the cost per head for hosting the 2021 conference has skyrocketed to the sum of N16,450.00 due to change of venue, explaining that, “the facilities we were using for the previous conferences will no longer be feasible due to security threats in the area, and so, the new location and other market realities have contributed to the hike in the money required to host the conference.
He expressed optimism that the “conference has been specially orchestrated by the Holy Spirit to spur the national awakening of Northern Nigeria especially and to ignite a fresh zeal, fire and passion for a relentless and strategic kingdom impacts throughout the Northern Nigeria.”
