World Environmental Health Day: NGO Carries Advocacy To Kaduna Communities

A Non Governmental organization, Centre For Mind and Attitudinal Change is to carry out advocacy for healthy living environment in three communities in Kaduna metropolis, Northwest NIgeria.

The Day will also feature a symposium on peaceful coexistence among the communities and would be attended by traditional and religious leaders, opinion and youth leaders.

The Executive Director  of the NGO, Mr.  John Eleojo Ameloko disclosed this  Friday in an interview with Africa Prime News.

He said the lined up events would strengthen the peaceful coexistence among the communities who have common Environmental peculiarities.

Mr. Ameloko added that the symposium would touch on the dangers of drug abuse which he noted is more pronounced among youths.

He reiterated the passion, the NGO has, in helping the society through advocacy for peace and development .

The World Environmental Health Day is observed annually on September 26 .It started in Indonesia in 2011.

The theme of this year’s Day is “Prioritizing Environmental Health  For Healthier Communities in Global Economy”.
