Nigeria: Philanthropist to Sponsor Maiden Football Tournament in Kaduna

A Philanthropist, Lawal Adamu-Usman has concluded arrangements to sponsored maiden edition of Football Championship in Kaduna state, saying the competition is to foster unity in the state and will begin 28th August.

The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the tournament is organized by Youth Sports Federation of Nigeria (YSFON), Kaduna State chapter and sponsored by Mr. Usman.

Speaking on objective of the game, the Tournament Coordinator, Abdussalam Ahmed- Jere, said the competition aims to strengthen cordial relationship among youths in the state, as well as to provide a platform for players to showcase their skills to the world football market and to develop potential players to stardom.

According to him, the tournament is going to be competed among the 23 local government areas of the state on a league format basis.

He added that participating teams will be provided with football kits courtesy of Lawal Adamu Usman (Mr. LA).

According to him, matches will be played simultaneously at Zaria, Kaduna and Kafanchan.

“Mr. LA has enjoined all football lovers to support this gesture and contribute their quota in ensuring a hitch free tournament.”
