KASU Announces Admission Into Its College Of Basic Studies Programmes For 2021/2022 Academic Session

Kaduna State University (KASU) Kaduna, has announced admission into its College Of Basic Studies (CBS)  programmes for the 2021/2022 Academic Session.

This is contained in a statement signed by the Registrar, Samuel S. Manshop, made available to our correspondent in Kaduna on Tuesday, August 17, 2021.

“Applications are hereby invited from suitable qualified candidates for admissions into the following programmes of the College of Basic Studies (CBS) Kaduna State University,” it said.

According to the statement, the basic programmes are;

Basic Sciences (English, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Economics and Geography

Basic Humanities (English, Mathematics, Arabic, Economics, French, Geography, Government and Literature).

For its Remedial Sciences Programmes, KASU said the programmes available are; English, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Economics and Geography, while remedial Humanities are English, Mathematics, Economics. Geography, Government and Literature.

Admission requirement for candidates seeking for admission into College of Basic Studies (CBS) Kaduna State University must have 5 “O” Level Credit Passes in relevant subjects that include English and Mathematics, obtained in not more than two sittings.

“Remedial Programmes

A minimum of 3 “O” Level Credit Passes  or have 5 “O” Level Credit Passes but without the required subject combination or English and Mathematics,” it added.

For the method of application, interested candidates applying for all CBS programmes are advised to visit the KASU Admission Portal: https://forms.kasu.edu.ng/forms

Begin the application by creating a Profile; check your e-mail for your Username and Password;

Continue the registration by login with the created Profile details;

Fill the application form

Download and print submitted application form with the stamp “Received” on it and await the outcome of admission to be communicated through your already provided e-mail and CBS admission Portal.

The University warned that it will not enter into correspondence with any candidate on its decision.

“Candidates must provide functional e-mail in their Registration form to be able to know whether they have been offered admission or not, and for all other communications.

“Candidates offered provisional admission will be required to immediately report to the College with the originals of their credentials for the registration exercise.

“Candidates must have to pay the sum of Five Thousand Naira (₦5,000) as Processing Fee at any Commercial Bank on the *Pay Direct* platform. Use “CBS Processing Fee (Kaduna State University)” as the beneficiary account name on the bank teller. Ensure you are issued with a payment receipt in the bank. No application would be considered without this payment,” it said.

It informed that the closing date for all applications should be completed and the forms stamped “Received” printed for admission to the Office of the Administrative Secretary, College of Basic Studies, Kaduna State University, Kaduna, not later than Thursday, 30 September, 2021.
