Niger Gov. Orders Repairs Of Eroded Roads In Minna

Date:

Governor Abubakar Sani Bello of Niger State, North Central Nigeria,  has directed the Ministry of Works and Infrastructural Development to carry out intervention work on portions of roads eroded by rainwater in Minna,  the State capital.
Governor Sani Bello gave the directive when he inspected some eroded parts of Minna-Boso-Maikunkele Road and that of Minna Western Bypass.
He charged the ministry to hasten the repairs of the roads to avoid accidents and save the roads from total collapse.
The Governor who observed that most parts of the roads being washed away were largely due to lack of drains for water to flow freely, added that the maintenance work will prevent further damage on the roads.
According to the Governor, a permanent solution would be provided when the rains are over.
He tasked the ministry to ensure that they carry out good maintenance work on the roads for the benefit of the people.
The Governor was in company of top government officials during the inspection.
