Nigeria: National Defence College Course Participants Present Research Papers To COAS

Nigerian Army Participants of National Defence College Co

urse 29,  Friday formally presented a Research Paper to the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Faruk Yahaya in partial fulfillment for the award of the prestigious Fellow Defence College (fdc).

The Research Paper titled “Pandemic and National Security in Nigeria: Implications for the Nigerian Army” was presented at the Army Headquarters Conference Room Abuja by Col Olutosin Ogunleye on behalf of the participants.

The Commandant of the College, Rear Admiral Oladele Daji, who led the participants to Army Headquarters, said the NDC Course 29 assembled in September 2020 and were subsequently given a topic to research on by the COAS. He disclosed further that about 22 participants researched the work, under the supervision of the College members of faculty.

In his remarks, the COAS commended the participants for carrying out a thorough research work, that examined contemporary security challenges bedeviling the country. He urged the Commandant and staff of the college to continue to add value to the research and development endeavours of the Nigerian Army, adding that the College remains a citadel of military strategy and capacity development.

Present at the paper presentation were Principal Staff Officers of Army Headquarters, Directors and members of faculty of the National Defence College, as well as participants of NDC Course 29.
