Kaduna State Commissioner of Police, Umar M. Muri, has assured residents of the state of their safety during and after the EID-EL-KABIR celebrations.
“The Command has deployed both Conventional Policemen, Mobile Police Force, personnel of Operation Puff Adder II, as well as undercover Operatives to man and monitor key/vulnerable points with a view to ensuring watertight security across the state,” a statement by Spokesman of the Command, ASP Mohammed Jalige, quotes the Commissioner saying.
“The Command once again reassures the good people of Kaduna State of its readiness to promptly respond to distress calls and decisively deal with any person or group of persons who in any guise want to disrupt the peaceful atmosphere during and after the festive period”, the statement says.
It calls on “all well-meaning members of the public to report any suspicious movement/object noticed in their area to the nearest security formation or call the Command’s emergency numbers being 07039675856, 0807591105”, adding that “the Police Command in synergy with all security agencies in the state wishes to reassure members of the public of their safety and should go about their lawful businesses without fear of molestation or harassment from any quarter”
