Bill: We Are Breaking New Grounds – Victor Danzaria… Appreciates House Of Reps

Date:

Member House of Reps, Victor Mela Danzaria representing Balanga/Billiri Federal Constituency has expressed gratitude to his colleagues in the Green Chamber for given a Nod to the Bill for an Act to establish the Federal Medical Centre, Billiri, Gombe State.

In his message of appreciation, the Federal Lawmaker described the positive development as a record-breaking and unprecedented move which took place on Thursday 8th July, 2021 when the Bill for an Act to establish the Federal Medical Centre, Billiri, Gombe State (H.B 677) for an Act to establish the Federal Medical Centre, Billiri, Gombe State (H.B 677) passed THIRD READING in the House of Representatives.

This, he said, came barely 24 hours after the House had considered and approved the Report of its Committee on Health Institutions.

In light of the foregoing, Danzaria, explained, a clean copy of the Bill will be sent to the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria for its concurrence. “Thereafter, the Bill will be transmitted to His Excellency, Mr. President for his assent as constitutionally required.

“Notably, it may interest you to know that this is the first time, since the Second Republic in 1979 that any Bill for an Act from Balanga/Billiri Federal Constituency will go through First Reading, Second Reading, Committee Stage, Committee Reading, and Third Reading stages of lawmaking process in National Assembly. Indeed, we are breaking new grounds.

“This milestone was achieved as a result of House leadership’s trust, confidence and absolute faith in our loyalty and commitment to the ideals of the current Green Chamber as well as our sheer doggedness, resilience and unwavering resolve to advance the cause of our people who have entrusted us with the mandate; not to only represent them, but represent them well. Be rest assured that we will not let you down.

“On behalf of the loving people of Balanga/Billiri Federal Constituency, I would like to use this space to most profoundly appreciate Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, the Speaker, House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Ahmed Idris Wase, the Deputy Speaker and Chairman, House Committee of the Whole, the entire leadership of the House and my distinguished colleagues for their individual and collective support and encouragement since we started this journey.

“To my Constituents, I pledge yet again, to do my best within my legislative powers and privileges to deliver on the mandate you freely gave me in 2019. I’m not taking that for granted. Together we will do more”, he concludes.
