National Volunteers Monitoring Intiative on COVID-19 has called for arrest of any person or group found sabotaging the efforts of the Presidential Committee on COVID-19.
The Secretary General, Comrade Abubakar Yunusa made the call in Kaduna while reacting to the recent videos on social media claiming that the COVID-19 vaccine has side effects.
He explained that Nigerians were vaccinated with the first and second doses of the vaccines without any reactions up to date.
Comrade Abubakar Yunusa tasked the Inspector General of Police and other security agencies to immediately investigate and arrest the blackmailers to serve as deterrent to others.
He warned Nigerians that CoronaVirus is real and the vaccine reduced about 80 per cent of the virus in the country.
Comrade Abubakar Yunusa is optimistic that with the current development, Nigeria will soon be a CoronaVirus free nation.
The Secretary General commended President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration for all the support given to presidential committee in order to address the pandemic.
He appealed to Nigerians to continue to adhere strictly to the COVID-19 protocols.
