Member Representing Albasu, Ajingi and Gaya Federal constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon Abdullahi Mahmud Gaya has felicitated with the Speaker of the House of Reps, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, on the auspicious occasion of his 59th birthday.
In the congratulatory message made available to newsmen, Hon Gaya noted that within his stint in the House of Representatives, the Speaker has made robust contributions to strengthen Democratic principles and legislature.
His exemplary representation of his constituency and passionate service to Nigeria at the National Assembly over the years, can not be over emphasised.
According to Gaya, Gbajabiamila has been consistent in the dogged pursuit of anything considered to be in the best interest of citizens right as a floor member in 2003, Minority Leader of the in the 7th Assembly, Majority Leader in 8th National Assembly and now as Speaker.
“Some of us in the 8th and 9th National Assembly, irrespective of party affiliations know Mr Speaker have a common vision for National Development. ” Gbajabiamila is a courageous and patriotic leader, who consistently display unwavering commitment to the unity, peace and progress of Nigeria.
” Apart from making sure of the independence of the legislature, the Speaker is also entrenching democratic practices and helping government to improve service delivery to Nigerians .
” So, as he celebrates his 59th birthday today, I prayed that Allah will continue to grant him good health and wisdom, foresight to steer the ship of the House peacefully and many more years of service to his fatherland. I also rejoice with his family, friends, political associates and members of the House of Representatives in particular on this special occasion,” Hon Gaya concludes.
