Nigeria: At least 6 killed By Bandits in 3 Katsina Communities

Gunmen have killed at least six persons in three communities of Sabuwa Local Government Area of Katsina state, northwest Nigeria.

“The incident happened in the midnight [Monday] around 00:40am, when the bandits were passing by with their guns and suddenly clashed with the persons on the way,” a source in the area told journalists.

According to him, the bandits killed four persons, “they shot sporadically killing four persons in Sayau Kasuwa. They shot one in Unguwa Nakaba and another in Sayau Malamai.”

He said, three died on the spot, “and three others were rushed to Funtua General hospital where they eventually died around 3:00am,”

When contacted on Tuesday morning, spokesperson of Katsina State Police Command, SP Isah Gambo said he was in a meeting.

He was yet to reach back to AFRICA PRIME NEWS as at the time of filling in this report.
