Notorious Armed Robber, Two Others Convicted In Liberia

Reports from Liberia say a notorious armed robber has been sentenced to four years imprisonment by a Criminal Court along two of his accomplices who are to spend ten and fifteen years jail term for robbery.

According to our Judicial Correspondent, the notorious armed robber, Kesselle Mulbah alias Kezo, was sentenced by Judge Nelson Tokpah on Tuesday for Robbery and is expected to face another trial at the Criminal Court “A” on allegation of murder.

Mulbah sentence followed a guilty verdict from a twelve -member juror’s panel of armed robbery along with his accomplices identified as William Smith, Noah Karpo and Alfred David.

He was arrested on August 3, 2020 in the Dixville Community where the Liberia National Police said Mulbah and others had gone to carry on an alleged robbery. He was later charged with robbery, murder, and criminal conspiracy.

The investigation established that Defendant Kesselle and others to be identified were armed with cutlasses, single barrel guns and other deadly weapons.

The police charge sheet further indicated that Mulbah exchanged fire with the Anti-Robbery Backup Unit that went in pursuit of him, which led to his leg being shot by the LNP.

Prior to his arrest, police investigation revealec that defendant Mulbah had robbed another victim identified as Felecia McCauley in the Baptist Seminary community near Monrovia and made away with several values.
