Date:

A three-man team on COVID-19 from the World Health Organisation, WHO,  has reaffirmed that the Vaccine being administered  across the country has no side effect.

Briefing  newsmen on some Myths and Facts of COVID-19 vaccines on Tuesday in Kaduna, Dr Sambo Ishaku declared that all speculations about the vaccines were false and therefore enjoined the public to ignore the misinformation.

Dr. Ishaku noted that the existence of such anti- vaccination group to any newly developed drug had always been there adding that what was happening today was not new.

According to Dr. Ishaku, there is no drug in the world that has no side effect arising from either wrongly dispensed or coincidental.

‘ Even food we eat has side effect.
The side effect of the COVID-19 vaccine is minimal or not serious “.he emphasised.

He advised anyone who is allergy to the Vaccine to report to the nearest doctor .

“All speculations about the Vaccine are false .It does not change DNA or have any effect on pregnant women”.

Dr, Ishaku said every country in the world is represented on a committee put together by WHO to certify drugs produced.

People, he said, should not be scared as new technology has led to rapid development of drugs and that what used to take fifteen years in the past, could now be developed in one year.
