IWD: NAWOJ Applauds Kaduna For Women Inclusion In Governance

As the women across the world  celebrate 2021  International Women’s Day , Nigerian Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Kaduna State chapter has advocated an enabling environment with a view to enhancing  capacity of women to create positive change in the country.

This is just as it commends the Kaduna  State government for entrusting women with key positions of authority.

In a message signed by the Chairperson, Hajiya Fatima Aliyu Mahuta, and Secretary, Maureen Sheyin to mark the Day with the theme: “Choose to Challenge.” the Chapter therefore urged women at all levels to support the state government in its policy drive to protect women and children in the state

According to the statement, every woman has the potential of making the world a better place if given the opportunity.

The message describes women as strong and courageous, because they have been in the forefront in the fight against gender based violence, women and children.

It called on government at all levels to consider women more in top government offices as well as political positions.
