Governor of Bauchi State, Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed Tuesday participated at the formal presentation of certificates/starter packs to pioneer beneficiaries of ICT program sponsored by the North East Development Commission.
The NEDC also distributed learning materials to public and private primary schools, COVID-19 preventive items as well as agricultural inputs to vulnerable groups and security agencies in the State.
Presenting the certificates to the beneficiaries at Banquet Hall, Government House Bauchi, Governor Bala charged them to make good use of the facilities for self reliant.
He said his administration is improving ICT in governance and skill acquisition for advance knowledge driven interventions.
The Governor welcomed the developmental projects of the North East Development Commission in Bauchi State, pledged them a continuous support to implement advanced policies effectively.
Governor Bala added that his administration will continue to partner with the NEDC and other relevant stakeholders and institutions to ensure Bauchi State benefit from it’s policies and programmes geared towards improving their living conditions.
He thanked President Muhammadu Buhari for establishing NEDC.
On their separate remarks, chairman, Senate committee on Special Duties, Senator Yusuf Abubakar Yusuf and the Managing Director Commission, NEDC Mohammed Alkali commended Governor Bala for working hand in hand with the commission.
